1) Download the Place_Bets.xls spreadsheet here.

2) Open the Place_Bets.xls spreadsheet and enter your required selections on the 'Selections' worksheet (make sure you type the names exactly as they appear on Betfair)

Next to the selection name enter the stake, bet type (BACK or LAY), minimum and maximum odds that you will accept. Enter the number of seconds prior to the scheduled off you want the bets triggered in cell AL5 on the ‘Market’ worksheet (eg. To place bets 1 minute before off enter 60 in cell AL5)

Enter Y or N in cell AA1 to indicate if the bets should be kept in play (ie. not cancelled when the market turns in play)

3) Open the Betting Assistant application and select 'Add to quick pick list|All UK Win (Horse Racing)' from the market menu

4) Select Auto select markets|At specific time before off from the market menu and input 1 minutes when prompted.

5) Select the first race in the quick pick list.

6) Select 'Log current prices' from the Excel menu and make sure it is completed as below.
