I am having issues with the new version when working with multiple sheets. I have had numerous instances since Sunday where logging/updating of one or more sheets has simply stopped whilst it continues as normal on the other sheets. This is a new problem and I have not encountered it with previous versions of BA.

I have been racking my brain to establish if there is something on my side that is causing this but I cannot see anything. I have put in place a 'sticking plaster' to stop betting/trading if there is a mismatch in the time of day fields but this is obviously not really viable beyond the short term.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Well it eventually got there but took an exceptionally long time compared to prior market loads.

Further to my above, and having had the same thing happen again, I will add a bit more detail.

The images show the time ' mismatch' between two linked sheets (the same market) within the same workbook.

The BA "Excel Link Activity" logs the following error:

OK, so after some testing, things appear to be much more stable after disabling all of the new 'streaming' functionality in version 1.3.0.38j. Will tentatively deploy it live for small stakes in the next race.

Is it just a case of my system being overloaded?

The current version which has the new streaming is 1.3.0.38k and is stable.
There are some issue relating to installation problems where the users is using an older operating system such as Windows XP.
This can be downloaded via the following link:-
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9860

Otherwise you can still download version 1.3.0.37a from the downloads page which is the pre-streaming version.
Go to http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/downloads.asp

Still running XP.

Have tried 1.3.0.38K and 1.3.0.38l - where can I download earlier versions? Still no luck at allowing me to login to Betfair.

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
