Sorry; shut it down, restarted, BA updated... all works again.
Don't often restart BA, just runs all time ;-)

I've had a few problems logging in and graphs at times. I had a search and reckon it could be down to the web browser control defaulting to ie7 which Betfair no longer support, or legacy code no longer being supported in later versions of IE.

Hi,

Obviously, you shouldn't be having to do that but it's nothing to do with the update.
It's certainly not happening to everyone.
Can you email a Diagnostic Log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk
Once you have logged in go to the Options Menu and select "Open Settings Folder"
A File Explorer Window will open where you can go into the Diagnostic Logs Folder.
Send a Log from a date where the problem occurred, e.g. the log from yesterday would be named BA_Diagnostic-2019-02-20.log

Regards,
Mark

Hi,

We are aware that some users are having this problem.
Gary has been working on a workaround to try to get past the API call that is failing and causing this problem.
Please can you uninstall once more via Windows Control Panel and then install via the following link:-

http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting_Assistant/Betting_Assistant.msi

It should fix the problem for those users who have encountered this problem.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
