Just subscribed - what now?

Postby one cool dog » Sun May 06, 2007 8:52 pm

Hi

Just paid to have BA for the first time since it went pay. I can use the standard one I left, for 2 days, but will I get an updated version after 2 days? Does it have the stop-loss feature I have been reading about?

I am quite excited to try it out again, but want to know what to expect.

Regards

And is the net button available? What does it do and how does it work? I will always be using the standard userface by the way, and not the ladder.

Cheers

The 2 days is just so that we have time to process payment, the expiry date will update automatically when payment has been processed, no need to download another version.

The stop loss feature is only available in Beta version 1 which can be downloaded from http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Betting ... ublish.htm

The net stake button only applies to the ladder interface and is simply the last stake matched allowing you to quickly choose the correct stake when closing a partially matched trade.

I made a video demonstrating stop loss on the ladder interface http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Videos/ ... _loss.html The same principal applies on the standard interface, but there is not yet a visual indicator showing that a stop loss is active so is not really useful yet, this will be addressed in a future release. I also explained how the stop loss feature works here http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=1197

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
