Submiting multiple bets on a single selection

Postby Vincent » Mon Jul 23, 2007 7:35 pm

Is it possible to submit a range of back or lay prices in one go for a single selection. Eg. for a selected horse I would like to offer a range of prices i.e 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 3.0, etc and submit them all together so they are all ready there to be taken, instead of trigger betting one at a time as the price drops.

There is currently no feature that will do this except for a combination of Excel triggered betting and VBA.

Hi Gary

Thanks for the quick response.

Can you just confirm that from excel, the program can only submit one bet per selection per refresh, and am I correct in that reading previous posts that there is a limit of 60 bets per refresh. I’m ok using excel and vba in that I can get excel to do all the work, it was just the number of bets I could submit via excel. I submit all offers/bids when race turns inplay and was looking to set up in advance and submit them all in one go.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
