betfair trader

Postby robin09 » Thu Feb 02, 2006 11:03 am

i read somewere on this forum that someone had said that betfair had a free trader on there site, well its called BIRT short for betting in running trader. well i tried it and i feel its not user friendly and kept crashing on me. there may have been some good points to it but struggled to fit it on screen and id definately at this point not swap the bet trader that gary produced for anything. Because one of the largest factors is that its user friendly and thats whats needed . not something that comes up on screen and you think why didnt i study harder at school. These guys dont realise most punters dont know the head of the horse from the back so some of this software is way too advanced for a mere mortal. so soon as they see it they run to the cupboard for headache tablets. plus loose a small fortune trying to get to know the basics. maybe its like learning to fly without wings. ah well lets hope its back to the drawing board to make more user friendly software to even consider competeing against garys trader. ps hope im on commission gary or maybe im on a mission.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
