Trading when Away??

Postby Sherbert » Wed Nov 07, 2007 12:14 am

Hi there

I am not a total novice to trading having dabbled in a bet angel and used fill and kill etc

I just want to no how can this software be set up to work when you are not there, e.g. go to work and specify some parameters (any ideas on what ones people would use would help to?) to run race after race

Thanks for any help in advance :)

Hi,

To achieve automated betting you can use the Excel triggered betting functionality of the program.

Please see this previous thread which has links to a You Tube video with a demonstration.

There great just what i was after :-)

How is it possible to use these parameters like in the vids "in-play" as they will not go in-play??

Also is there problems when meetings are delayed and overide with other UK meets??

One last question ;-)

Where can I learn more about this, the videos were good and gave me a taster to see more and slightly more complex macros etc, is there a good website or book?

Thanks again

Sherbert

Hi,

Not sure what you mean by this, the video shows the market being auto selected 1 min before the official "in play" time.

Also is there problems when meetings are delayed and overide with other UK meets??

Yes this can be a problem, as the software will automatically cycle down the list at the set time according to the parameters you have chosen. However you could put different meetings in new tab pages. Each new page carries its own Market (quick pick) list and can be linked to different Excel sheets.

Where can I learn more about this, the videos were good and gave me a taster to see more and slightly more complex macros etc, is there a good website or book?

Obviously there are plenty of good books on Excel but for me you can't go far wrong using Google to find answers. There are plenty of useful websites out there such as http://www.mrexcel.com

Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
