Auto Level & Stop Loss in Excel

Postby AndrewP » Wed Nov 28, 2007 11:26 am

Hi All,

Am I right in thinking that when a tick offset is used in Excel it will auto-level any winnings if 'auto level' is set in the BA programme to which the spreadsheet is linked and that it won't auto level if the box is unchecked in BA?

Is it still the case that a 'stop loss' or 'trailing stop loss' cannot be set in the same way i.e. set up in BA and triggered from Excel? If the latter is true I presume smart users are coding a stop loss function in Excel or setting up a formula in a second sheet linked to the first and to the same market. I can do the latter but anyone got an example of Excel stop-loss code?

Thanks Castillo.

I had seen those threads but the one on a stoploss feature in Excel is quite old hence my question about the current situation. I guess the answer is no, there isn't one yet.

I'm still interested in any code for an Excel stoploss.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
