Anyone else having treacle-like connections over the last couple of days? I have spoken to them and they say it is a migration issue to a new server.
Just want to make sure others are having same problems.

Yes the same here. Connections have been awful for at least a couple of weeks.
Someone suggested closing down the AOL software on the BF forum and that seemed better for me.

I'm happy to say everything back to working order. You would not believe what AOL India had me do to my laptop.

Not until 2hrs into my phone call did they tell me they had got 'thousands' of calls with my problem, in which time they made me rest my Netgear router three times and now make it only possible to make my wireless connection work via the Run menu and services.msc.

If I had not held my ground for over an hour, repeatedly telling the operative that she was at fault, the stupid lady from AOL wanted me to contact the people who made my laptop to sort out the problem. I had to shout down the phone for what seemed a thousand times 'THAT IT WAS THEIR FAULT ! '.

Funnily enough, she was wrong and I was right, I wasted a big phone bill and my time, and the only way to use the wireless is via my Run menu.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
