Search for a historical Data log

Postby BigRemi » Sat Feb 09, 2008 8:18 pm

Hi I am new on this forum! Using the Gruss Software makes me really happy

I would like to start a datamining project on uk horse racing data of the year 2007. And therefore I need logged betfair back and lay odds for the horses.

I finished to build up my personal database using the official betfair data from betfair homepage. I´ve got every horse with the last taken odd pre-event. And the Total matched amount for year 2007. My database is integrated with proform database (60 collumns full of Ranks and Ratings, Form) So it´s about 90k of data.

I would like to have a more detailed database, especially the lay odds, money in a chronologic form (inplay included). As a poor student I cant afford to buy enough timeform data I would need.

Perhaps someone has logged the betfair data which I´m searching and could help me? I would be very thankful and with a pleasure I would share my database with you.

Thanks Remi

It is possible to buy data from fracsoft. The costs are 59p per meeting.
That would be enormous costs :x

Any new suggestions ? Perhaps a smaller size ? Not the whole year ?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
