Excel with Half time/ Full time soccer markets

Postby Turnup4thebooks » Thu Feb 14, 2008 1:30 pm

Hi folks,

Is there anyone here who uses Excel to lay bets on this market?

I have been using ba for about 5 weeks now, backing and laying via excel in the correct score and htft markets (soccer).

I have noticed that fairly often the odds I have laid in the htft market don't match the odds which are shown to be triggered on my spreadsheet (they might be one or two ticks out either way).

The probable explanation is that the odds displayed on my spreadsheet change after I have triggered the bets, as there is a delay of a few seconds between me triggering the bets and and unticking 'log current prices' and the odds on my spreadsheet depend on info from ba. But I am puzzled as to why it is happening just on this market (it doesn't happen with the correct score market or the backs in the htft market).

So I was wandering (on the off chance) if anyone else has experienced the same thing, or is it just me :?:

Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
