VBA question

Postby London_Calling » Mon Mar 03, 2008 11:23 pm

Ev'nin all,

I’m really struggling for the right word here, please bear with me.

Say I’m laying two runners at different odds but for the same potential loss. In, say Column z, I’d like those two runners to have in their relevant row an A or B depending on which of them was laid at the lowest odds (an A in this cell) and which was laid at the higher odds (a B in this cell).

I can do that with formulas (using column V or W via Bet Assistant), the problem comes when other bets are introduced and the numbers change in column V or W - A is no longer the A and B is no longer the B and I need the initial A and B to stay as A and B even after changes occur in columns V or W.

I guess this will probably be a VBA solution, any ideas?

Cheers

Just to say . . . in theory I did find an answer to this by recording a macro of copy + Paste Special and put that in an If-Then VBA structure - I'll find out for sure this afternoon . . .

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
