while your desktop PC is loading and still in the bios stages of booting up, continualy bash F8. This will bring you to a dos screen with options, select "last known good configuration" or something simular, and select preferably the oldest configuration you have saved. If this fails to work, i can't see much else you can do from outside of windows. Does it freeze on the "welcome" screen? with no user / pass login? they maybe a way of bypassing this screen by holding down a key while windows is loading although i suggest you search google for such info.

other options include enetering in safe mode and uninstalling your most recently install applications. entering "msconfig" from "start / run" and disabling other programs from loading. well good look any how, if worst comes to worst, put your hard drive in another comp (as secondary device), backup anything you need. then reinstall windows over the top or with a clean install. good luck!

i'm assuming here that your comp is locking up (looping at a set point), and that the issue here is not a user name / password problem.

Do you have more than one user on the desktop machine?

Does your desktop machine login id require a password?

Oh dear - i thought it was annoying - Guys, i seem have given the impression my desktop has been crucified ( i must stop watching 'The Passion' )

Profound Apologies to All : I neglected to mention that on the desktop pc, when i click on my logon logo - it boots up to the 'desktop' screen....

What i AM looking for , is get my desktop pc , to boot up to the 'desktop' screen WITHOUT my having to click on the logon logo........

Its driving me insane - i hate it - : Having to click on the logo logon

- with the laptop I dont - why cant i do the same with the desktop !

Aaaaagggghhh !

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
