Any ideas?

Postby N Counter » Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:26 am

I'm confused, what's new you say, I know.

Last night I offered to back 0-0 at 14 for £20 hoping it might get taken over night, it was, at least £18.56 was. This morning I attempted to green up a small safe profit by laying at 13.5 for £19.25.

However ba would not allow me to do so as the lay bet liability would excede my bank, which is true. It didn,t seem to recognise that backing the 0-0 covered this.

I went into the betfair site and placed the bet without problem.

Has anyone have any ideas why this would be?

Have you got a maximum liability set in BA's preferences with 'per click' set? If you have then it only looks at the bet you are about to place. When it's not ticked it will look at your future position which would have been accepted.

Thanks Gary

I knew it would be me.

Sorry to take up your time.

Great programme by the way I find it more useful the more I use it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
