Many thanks for your reply tjpoulos. I areadly found this one but was not suitable for what I wanted it for. I think I shoild make myself clearer.

I want to be able to use the spreadsheet on my smartphone/PDA, and when I tried this on my smartphone, it did no work because it was protected by the author. It would appear smartphones (or my smartphone, which has a Microsoft windows mobile 6 as its OS) can't handle protected spreadsheets.

I want a sheet which is unprotected, or the formula to enable me to create the calculator myself. I want to be able to calculate the stakes to place for each outcome for up to six outcomes on a specified maximum stake to produce an equal profit no matter the outcome.

For example, I have 3 possible outcomes with the odds for each outcome as follows 2.88, 10.00, 2.8, and I want to stake a total of £1000. What is the formula to work out the amount to stake on each outcome to produce an equal profit no matter the result.

Thanks

I can't write the formula with plain text in this forum but I have written it here:

http://www.pixelmania.at/user/milfor

For the odds in your example it obtains the stakes 431.67, 124.32, 444.01

Many thanks for your reply milfor. I did click on the link you provided, but the content on the website was not clear nor did it make sense. Anyway, I have managed to work the formular out myself. Cheers

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
