all feedback welcome can change the colours / font its not a problem the idea is you wont be looking at as its an automated system just set-up and leave.

I have been using daily for the last 6 months just set it to win £10 per dsy then stop makes on average £200-300pcm

£10

Postby eyesnack » Sat Feb 21, 2009 9:29 pm

OFC i trust it its on everyday and runs without any intervention from me the £10 is just a nominal amount I dont need to win any more. I know some people use the excellent BA as a trading tool and try to make a living from it however this hold no intrest for me.

Hi

Anyone know how you link it/use it. I've got it on my desktop and can see everything but nothing is happening.

Where can I find this section?
I'm interested in the greyhoundbot.

I just wouldn't bother. For all I know it might be great but unless you are a mystic you'll spend ages trying to work out how to use it, which I haven't and I've emailed the maker and PM'd various people who have used it, and that's when I can get to the http://gbot.homeftp.net/ webpage, which seems to crash every time I try and go there.

It's been a frustrating experience from start to finish, one has left me rather annoyed.

A piece of advice for the maker next time. Can you presume that someone who wants to use your app (it is wonderful that's free after the time you obviously took) may not know how to link/press a go button. I got very close, I think, but I was left annoyed because it was doing nothing. I linked a couple of Greyhound races in, but the sheet started flashing and going mad and, more importantly, no bets were being placed at any stage.

I suspect my trial will have long since passed when and if anyone eventually comes back to me or here.

Its really very simple to use but frankly not worth it because its a trivial system and easy to write yourself into Excel. It may win short term but will lose long term....

long term

Postby eyesnack » Thu Feb 26, 2009 9:46 pm

Hi

Thanks for the feedback all welcome , one-click i have sent you anybody else who has contacted me over the last week an e-mail. the bot has been re-written after feedback regarding the pop-ups and colour scheme.

ps doris the bot does indeed make a profit long term and i have yet to see you offer anything to this forum in the way of spreadsheets. maybe you could post something for the inexperienced guys ?.

As for being simple you have not looked at the vba code including the ability to post e-mails from within excel using CDO and bypassing the mail program is not that easy to do

It's still too technical for me, as I have followed the instructions seemingly to the letter 10 times, and no bets whatsoever went or or got placed.

It certainly looks to be doing something, but nothing happens.

eyesnack, depends what you mean by 'longterm'. Perhaps you can post some data of results for the past year or two.

By 'trivial', I meant the algorithm that decides which to bet on. If there is some hidden code that I've missed then fair enough but it looks like the choice is somewhat simple. And v easy to code.

Regarding me not offering any spreadsheets, at least I'm not spamming the forum offering trials to apps which then have to be paid for.

I still cannot get this to do anything and I am far from thick. Can someone please give me an idea on how to make it work?

I have had BA open, the GBot things open, I've seen the Excel part linked, Ive filled in the Set Up screen as per the step up instructions and in about 10 races, not one best has been placed or fired in.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, please help someone.

One-click, you need to open a greyhound race in BA, so it will be able to link to the bot....then, bob's your uncle....but I wouldnt waste your time....

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
