Bet info shortcut anyone?

Postby speedypro » Fri Apr 07, 2006 9:29 am

Hi Each,
Slightly of topic but may be useful to some. A while ago someone on bf forum put up a url to show bet details.
Some long string with the bet reference number in it. Cut and paste with a new bet reference and you could see the actual bet details. Even if you were not logged in.

Some people cut and paste from the screen to put forward evidence of bets placed, usually aftertiming for glory. This was a more legit prof if you like.

I was prompted to post this because of an event yeserday, where I put a bet on for a mate. I took a screenshot to email him that I the bet was on, but this url would have been better.

Any of you coding guys know what it is?

cheers

I know the one you mean but can't post it cos they've blocked access to betfair where I am at the moment.

Just go into your account statement screen and you'll see some of the trades are highlighted - click on one of them and it'll bring up a pop up with the bet matched details. press F11 to see the address line of the pop up

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
