I lay horses, always have and dont do too badly. But I desperately want to get into trading (horse racing, before the off). I've watched many vids for bet angel, read up on it alot but still cant get to grips with it. I started using ba for trading last week, had a few goes at it and overall profited, which is great. Today one of my bets went unmatched and I diddn't know what to do and panicked and made a loss. I could see in the white bar to the side of the ladder interface how much was unmatched, but still was unsure what I should do to counter it. So all the pro traders out there, how are u making huge profits daily with trading, using ladder interface. I've heard stories of people making 800+ per day, which is insane, and on the bet angel site, they 'traded live' at some show, and the profits for trading 2 meetings was ridiculous. Im not asking for free handouts, just some good pointers why and when to open the trade and to close it, I just need to be consistent. I also plan to stick with ba, I seem to trade better, maybe because it looks more simple. Any help would be a godsend! thanks

Your problem is not to do with which software is best but your lack of knowledge of trading. Before you even worry about whether Bet Angel does this or that or BA has this feature etc etc you must read some books about trading.

Some people do make money from trading but none of them started just by downloading a trading programme and chucking some money in the market. Research is the key.

This article in another forum helped me with getting to grips with trading, it's a long read but well worth it.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
