Yep, most meetings are in the Summer but even so if its only 40 a month in the winter I feel its value, i.e. £15 a meeting. Its all about a persons perception of implied value imo. As I stated, track boys have the expense of paying for the privilege (£120 to £180) for a single meeting of 6 or 7 races plus the time and cost of travel. While they have a clear advantage, fast pics are 2nd in the order of things so I'm happy with that at £15 per meeting

£15 a meeting is not value whichever way you look at it

when it is available for less than £7 a meeting when there is 40 a month

as i said earlier anyone who is paying £600 for it is being done

Andy, it is value to me because I make good money out of it. You say paying £600 a month means I'm getting done. You talk as though anyone can pick up the phone and have the fast pic suppliers fighting for your business. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that for me. I was offered at £600 and weighed up the package and said yes. My options are to say no and lose this lucrative source of income.

I said a "persons perception" of value is what matters. If I had to pay £1000 a month I would still be well in front so from my perspective its value

There are several fast pic code suppliers out there that are a lot cheaper than the £600 per month you are paying. Anyone who has the inclination should be able to find a code supplier at less than half of what you are paying. Andy is right, if you are paying £600 per month you are paying well over the going rate available from other providers.

You don't have to lose the source of income, you can switch provider and cut your fees for codes to well under £300 per month, now that is value, implied or otherwise.

nope, still there but a lot cheaper now. Most feeds are on 30.8 east which is in an inclined orbit. need a big motorised for consistent pics. Heard about streaming only 0.2 secs behind fast pics so that's still 1 sec faster than bf or bdq video. Picture quality is said to be excellent and re-sizing of pic is no probs

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
