LAYFIELD help!

Postby Toma » Wed Nov 30, 2005 5:06 pm

I have setup my excel spreadsheet to "LAYFIELD" and it works fine and puts "VARIOUS" in the Bet Ref cell and lays the field at my specified odds. However, I then want to CANCEL unmatched bets when the first Lay bet is matched.

I have got my spreadsheet to issue the CANCEL command at the appropriate time in all the Trigger Cells(Col N) that I want to cancel but they are not being CANCELLED in Betfair ?

Is this because there is no Bet Ref to cancel?

If so how do I cancel all unmatched bets from Excel?

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes, it's because it doesn't record the bet refs. You could try putting a LAY trigger against every selection instead. This used to be slower, but now the lays are all sent in one request so it's just as fast as LAYFIELD.

Doesn't ticking the "cancel remaining when matched" box on the main app do that for you, or does it not work from Excel?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
