Some comments on Software

Postby vonHenckel » Wed May 06, 2015 5:11 pm

Super software I like very much... it is the best available - and I have tried the rest :)

I am on my trial but will for sure continue after this finishes.

But some notes...

1. P/L Indicator doesn't take into account the lay/bets available - i.e. might not be enough lays or bets - but software ignores this
betfairs cash out takes this into consideration

2. Chart Last Price Match scale doesn't seem to work correctly often only going back a few hours no matter what the duration selected

3. Too easy to accidentally select P/L indicator - needs to have a are you sure? option that a user can select enable if they wish?

4. Clicking on an event should always open it in a new tab by default!!! The amount of times it overwipes one of my existing events because I forgot to right click and open in new tab

5. Stop loss doesn't work in a fast moving market as the order is often unfilled (and often triggers late). Software should try and get best price around this (both ways). Is this possible?

These are minor issues and some may be because I haven't read the manual properly :)

Thanks

Ok
I see now history is stored only when you have an event open... fair enough.
S/L can be chased... good
Like to see events opened in new tab by default- any way to do this?
Thanks

On a new tab, I don't think that it's possible yet but might be a good one to suggest as a feature.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
