Good luck with that, I find it hard enough to make 1 tick scalping pay doing it manually let alone automated on the horse racing.

Hi guys,

Complete newbie here,

Is there anyone out there who could help me out with implementing the Scalp Example into the Excel Spreadsheet please?..

http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/Excel/S ... ample.xlsx

i.e. what to insert & where, cell for cell?

Many thanks in advance

You don't have to insert anything anywhere. Just open any Betfair market
and choose Excel/Log current prices from the menu and open this Excel file.
Then scalping on the first selection will start automatically.

A had a look at the cell formulae: First it will back £2. When this is completely
matched it will lay £2. When this is completely matched it will back £2 and so
on.

This strategy can produce a profit if the odds of the first selection stay the
same or go down. It will definitely produce a loss if they go up.

,

Thanks milfor,

.. with that, what would I need to have introduced into that cell formulae to prevent it from producing a loss if the odds increased?

.. also with the Scalping what would the ideal setting be for "At specific time before off"?, set it for 1 min before the off or leave it blank so to speak?

Sorry, but you won't be able to change this strategy in such a way that it can't produce losses anymore.
Such a strategy would be anyones dream but is not existing. The spreadsheet should only be an
example how to implement strategies with Betting Assistant and Excel.

You shouldn't use it with "1 min" and you shouldn't use it with "blank" or any other setting
because you would lose money with it. It was only meant as an example.

OK, so I think I've got you now, so what you're saying is that I am unable to use this to automate each race, I need to physically sit & select each race manually?, (sorry to be a loon)

No, you shouldn't use this spreadsheet at all.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
