Scratch

Postby gruss-online » Mon Dec 28, 2015 4:32 pm

I'm wondering if BA has the feature to "scratch" at one outcome.

For example, I backed the home team so I have full profit on 1, full loss on X and full loss on 2.

The away team scores so I want to cover the draw. With "cover the draw" I mean to place a bet at the draw so if the match ends draw to have zero liability and zero profit.

To achieve that I'm typing many stakes at betfair's site until I hit the correct one.

Is there any feature at BA to achieve this with one click? Unfortunately, Level Profit column splits the profit to two outcomes, didnt found a way to have zero profit/liability at the draw.

Anyone?

Basically what I need is the option to "even" a selection, instead of trying to guess the amount to back/lay to I leave a selection with no profit/loss.

No that feature isn't available in Gruss as far I I'm aware, or any other software that I know tbh. The stake calculation is whatever red you have divided by the odds minus one. So a £100 red with odds of 5 would mean your stake is 100/(5-1)=£25 @ 5

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
