RUK HD

Postby DFK » Thu Apr 14, 2016 10:46 am

Anyone know if RUK HD is still quicker than normal pics?
If so by how much and does it vary?

What an amazing coincidence?

RUK must be the only channel in the world to have a neglible if any difference in picture speed between it's HD and SD channel, I wonder why that is?

Thank's for the replies.
Yes Gaza it is strange, hopefully they have not slowed down the the SD pics.
They did say they they are using the latest technology for the HD pics but normally as you say HD is far slower.
The problem is trying to compare HD and SD!

I'd be inclined to believe they'd slowed the SD pics so people wouldn't complain the HD pics are slower and they want everyone to eventually be HD, their website says there's no difference but you'd imagine HD pics would have more overheads just cos of the size of the streams.

If you have HD and SD you can compare the times on screen with your PC clock.

I find ATR's clock is behind by around 5 seconds but the SD pics show pretty much in sync with my PC clock that's been synched to time.windows.com. Be interested to see if they have slowed the SD pics

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
