2 instances of BA with 2 instances of Excel at 1 PC

Postby mike » Tue May 17, 2016 9:22 am

Good day,

I try to run 2 instances of BA with 2 instances of Excel at 1 PC. I do this because I want to run a soccer coupon at the first instance of BA and a tennis coupon at the second instance of BA. Both instances of BA I want to connect to 2 different workbooks, in 2 seperate Excel instances.

For a while this was possible, although suddenly I can not accomplish it anymore. I dont know if this is due to my PC settings or BA or just randomness.

The steps I took earlier where:
Start BA
Start Excel
Log current prices

Start BA again (instance 2)
Start Excel again (instance 2)
Log current prices
If BA2 tries to connect to Excel1, use ALT+TAB to ''activate'' Excel2 and do Log current prices again.
After that BA2 was connecting to Excel 2.

When I try to do this now, BA2 keeps trying to connect to Excel1. Also when I use the Browse-button in the Log-current-prices screen.

Does anyone has any idea what can be the cause?

Thanks!
mike

use the "log multiple sheets quick list" instead
It works all the times
com will be available in only one of these ba/excel instances
Everything ok?

Hello, thanks for your reply.
I guess you mean the Log Multiple Sheets Quick Link?
Although this does not work in combination with two coupon markets I think.
I will expiriment with it.

????????

two ba profiles, one with the soccer coupon, the other with the tennis coupon
Each ba profile is linked with diff excel workbook
Start ba and use the "Multiple Sheets Quick Link"
repeat for the second ba profile

Hi Alrodopial. I think my problem was that I had only 1 profile. I have added a profile and now it is possible. Thanks.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
