scratching my head in bewilderment

Postby bolpx001 » Sat Nov 05, 2016 7:45 pm

Hi All - a bit off topic but the bank sent me a new card because the old one was due to expire. I wanted to register the new card with Coral and they tell me I can't because my balance is over£100 I have to withdraw enough money to bring the balance below £100 and then re-deposit it. I can see no logic to it. Does anybody have any insight or theory as to why a bookie is forcing me to withdraw money from them, I am scratching my head in bewilderment - best regards Paul

It's to do with fraud prevention/money laundering, I think. I'm not sure how it works in this instant because you'll be withdrawing to a different card to which you deposited. Unless they're asking to do it by bank transfer.

But generally, you have to withdraw to the same card you deposited with to prevent money laundering

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
