BA automation: exposure limit

Postby bibu » Thu Mar 02, 2017 10:10 pm

Before I start working on a bot, I would like to know if there is a definite, foolproof method of limiting the exposure.
I've been burned before with another bot (a mistake on my part, to be sure), and I wouldn't want it to happen again.
I'm asking especially because now the Australian Wallet is gone (I used to keep 90% of my bank on there and the rest on the Main Wallet) and once I let the bot go "live" it will have access to the entire bank. Thanks.

Put up a lay of a rank outsider in a long term market at 1.01.
Alternatively I think you can email betfair and have them decrease your exposure limit, you can certainly do that to increase your limit - they do it straight away.

Why don't you move 90% of your Bank to your Poker Wallet.

That's a good suggestion, thanks.
There is no Poker section on the version of the site that I'm using. (betfair.ro)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
