Question on QP List

Postby IGRAHAM73 » Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:52 am

Hi, I downloaded the attached from the forum and have linked to BA but having problems with bets automatically firing unless I manually click on them in the QP list. Selections sheet contains Name, Stake, Bet Type, Min Odds, Max Odds. Am I missing code in Q2? Ideally need bets to fire 2 mins before match starts and a lot of selections start at the same time if that makes any difference

Hi,

If the bets are placed when you manually click the QP list, then the betting code is probably working. The issue is likely that Q2 isn't being triggered automatically.

Q2 needs to check the match start time and run when it's 2 minutes before the start, rather than relying on a manual selection/click.

Multiple selections starting at the same time shouldn't be an issue as long as Q2 processes all qualifying rows.

Can you post the Q2 code? That would make it easier to see exactly what's missing.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
