Hello

Is it possible to click on a back odds of say 3.00 and as the bet gets matched a lay bet at say 2.60 would go in and when this was also matched it would green up on the race. Doing all this with just the 1 click?

Hi,

You can use the Tick Offset option to get the software to fire in the Lay bet as soon as the back bet is matched.

Either use the global Tick Offset option above the Grid Interface or set up a Custom Column.

When you set the Tick Offset you need to decide whether to use ticks (Betfair price increments) or percentage of matched odds for calculating the odds of the lay bet, e.g. if you back bet was matched at 3.0 and you wanted to lay at 2.6 then that would be 20 ticks difference.
You just need to bear in mind that there are fewer ticks between prices the higher the odds.
And to get the lay bet to also be a green up you need to have "Auto Level" ticked in the Tick Offset settings.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
