Yeah as CS said.

I'd be inclined to have each race venue (which is on a seperate tab) linked to it's own unique worksheet within your workbook.

Are you trying to work out the true lowest matched IR odds, which is being clouded slightly by daily betfair csv files due to max payout of £100

Only asking as I tried something similar :)

As part of my trialing, I was using the same sheet (Sheet1) and trying it on different tabs (at separate times) and it only ever worked on the first tab - bizarrely!

No, not trying to workout the true lowest odds, just want to calculate the volume matched under a set odd for all horses

I'm also trying to work out from the code how to use the COM to import the BSP.

I've tried re-hashing the code, but again it only works on the first tab and is continually feeding data into column 26. Is there a simple bit of code that will just input the SP once the race is in play?

Hi,

If you just want to see the SP once the market is in play then you don't need to use COM.
You can select SP from the Additional Columns list which you select before linking to Excel and it will then automatically populate on the sheet.
Prior to In Play it displays Projected SP and then actual SP once reconciled at the off.

Mark

Vanbuuts,

When selecting the additional fields as Mark stated, the SP will be added to col 25. Just make sure you change the output column value of the GetAllTradedVolume code as currently that also uses 25.

Hi both, thanks - yes am aware of the added ability, the problem being that the "Projected" odds that are displayed can sometimes adjust just as the market goes in Play and the timing of which can cause my BOT to fire a bet even though the actual SP price is too high.

I will try and code it differently to ignore the SP column if market is not in play and see if that works

Hi,

I would capture the time the market goes In Play and then have another cell display seconds since in play and wait say 1 or 2 seconds which should allow enough time for the SP to be fully reconciled.

Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
