13:55 Newbury

Postby SWV » Thu Nov 03, 2022 5:00 pm

Anyone know why the 13:55 Newbury didn't show as In Play/Suspended at the end of the race? Instead It displayed In Play/Closed.

I use In Play/Suspended the end of the race to trigger my sheet.

have it as InPlay+Suspended when finished, so it's ok at me
Maybe it's time to add another if in the code

1st time I’ve known this fail.

You have a suggestion for another If?

1. if(rngE2=In Play"and rngF2="Suspended") or if(rngE2=In Play"and rngF2="Closed") then race ended

2. Create a variable to store the previousStatus and compare it with currentStatus
if preStatus = "In Play" and ( rngF2="Suspended" or rnfF2="Closed") then race just ended
preStatus = currentStatus 'update variable , will be used in next update

Ok thanks.

I use in play/suspended to record the result
I use in play/closed to move to the next market

you can add the new if to your code and then record AND move to next race (without waiting for the Closed signal

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
