Mac users help needed?

Postby welshmatt » Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:32 pm

I have been running Gruss on Mac using VirtualBox, I have just upgraded to new Mac with M2 chip and arriving Friday but apparently won't work with M1/M2/M3 chips so going to have to buy Parallels.

I have just looked into it and want to check if anyone knows if it will run Gruss?

This is what it says on Windows website...

"Parallels® Desktop version 18 is an authorized solution for running Arm® versions of Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Enterprise in a virtual environment on its platform on Apple M1 and M2 computers.

The Arm version of Windows 11 has limitations that can impact your ability to use various types of hardware, games, and apps, including those that rely on DirectX 12 or OpenGL3.3 or greater. For more information, please see the FAQ"

I've not had the opportunity to test it, but in theory it should run on Parallels. Let us know if you run into issues.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
