Betfair Customer References

Postby Happy Harry » Sun Mar 10, 2024 8:10 am

Hello.

A new question is that the API includes the ability to Include Customer References - there are actually two types I think - .

Does BA have the ability to include that information tied to a particular spreadsheet? or to a Particular Selection in a Spreadsheet. So the reason for the question is that today has been a nightmare. Heat - 38/39 degrees. Power Failures. Also as is currently a problem in Australia, Betfair not loading all markets for the day even at the beginning of the day and when I forced an update it crashed BA and the computer and I lost all results to that point in the day. To sum it up. I have not lost many bets for the day and I can recover most of my bets information from the API and tiing individual bet amounts to the results via the API.

IF the spreadsheets could be extended to tag Customer References then no matter what causes issues I can recover all my information. As can all other customers and it might, just a thought, also make the current "Recover Previous Results" which does not like crashes bullet proof.

Thanks

HH

It doesn't currently. It's something I can look into in a future release.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
