EXCEL Help (Macros & Recording Data)

Postby thunderfoot » Fri Dec 30, 2005 4:10 pm

I'm in the process of creating an EXCEL package which :-

1) Automatically places bets when certain Scenarios are met.
2) Recording the details of these bets in a 'Trading Diary'.
3) Recording Betfairs data in 1 second intervals .... builds up a 'library' of betting on Betfair.

I've got a few formulae set-up but am having trouble with the automated process's, which would be VB driven, because of a) the occassional 'freezing' of data from BA (i.e. I set the refresh to 1 second but occasionally it can be 10 to 20 seconds before the next refresh gets through to EXCEL) and b) the 'non refresh' of data from BA when using Module Macro (as per an earlier post) c) Allowing time for a bet to be placed once 'BACK' or 'LAY' appears in Col. 'N' before 'CLEAR' appear in Col. N to clear the last bet.

If anyone is prepared to asist on the VB side of things, as at the moment I'm only comfortable with MODULE macros, I'd be grateful. If you can help please PM me with your email address and I'll send you a copy of the EXCEL file I have at the moment, so that you can see what I'm trying to do.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
