Firing Bets

Postby Bezza » Fri Jun 15, 2007 11:45 pm

Hi all,
I'm running a laying programme from excel or trying to would be a more accurate description-worked in practice but when I tried for real today I came upon a couple of problems and hope sombody could advise.
I realised after trawling through the help section I've got to fill in the price and stake before the bet will fire and theres my problem, the stake bit is fine but what I'm trying to do is lay the fav(or top line)when my pre-determined values are meet,i.e.lay the horse at that particular time at whatever the price may be.Could anybody tell me if I need a formula to get around this? And if so point me in the right direction? My second problem is I've timed the bet window to open 3mins before the start and that seems to be working but then I've set the programme to move on to the next race at 2 mins to the off which does'nt seem to be working for me at the mo.I am a novice at excel functions and if I've missed somthing obvious would gladly learn different.

regards
Bezza

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
