Auto quick pick lists

Postby waynethebrayn » Fri May 08, 2009 2:39 pm

Hi Gary,

In the latest version of BA is it now possible to update different quick pick lists in different tabs?

For example I have separate excel worksheets for UK horses & UK dogs, and trying to use VBA to auto refresh the quick pick lists as follows:

Public Sub refreshQuickPick()
Worksheets("UK HORSES").Range("Q2").Value = -3.1
Worksheets("UK DOGS").Range("Q2").Value = -3.11
Application.OnTime Now() + TimeValue("03:00:00"), "refreshQuickPick"
End Sub

However this seems to add the horse races to the greyhounds tab as well. I have not set any preferences in the options tab.

Thanks in advance.

Gary,

I would like to have all UK and IRE Win (Horse Racing) in the Quick Pick List for one Excel worksheet, and all the UK and IRE Place (Horse Racing) in the Quick Pick List for a second Excel worksheet.

Had thought your excellent feature using cell Q2 triggers might have done this, but so far to no avail.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, these new triggers do not support combining markets, you can add UK win or IRE win, but not both. I can quite easily add some more triggers to add UK and IRE combined though. I'll put it in the next release.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
