Trading problem

Postby Dmite036 » Sat May 16, 2009 2:46 pm

I have a trigger set up to do some trading.

I want to do this trading before the off. I pretty much understand the triggers i need but for some reason the trigger keeps firing off in play.

I used an IF function, and if true it sent off the trade, and if false "" which i thought meant do nothing.

I thought you have to nominate IP or something for it to keep going.

I ended up backing half the field at 1000/1 and lost a few bucks because of it. Rookie mistake i guess.

In a nutshell is there something special i have to do to stop triggering in play?

I forgot to mention my trigger criteria does include how much money has been traded on individual horses in relation to overall traded amounts.

you could always just add to your IF statement referencing cell E2 something like =IF(E2="In Play","",IF(rest of your IF statement)
Then if cell E2 ( or whatever cell it is on your set up) says the race is in play no bets will be fired

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
