Trigger Activating in Advance

Postby Reg43 » Tue May 19, 2009 6:05 pm

I am set up to trigger a lay bet if conditions are right at 1 minute before the off. On 2 occasions the trigger has activated hours in advance. In fact today the trigger activated 3 hours before the start of the race. Do you have any suggestions as to why this is happening please?

Are you talking about Excel or conditional bets?

If it's a conditional bet have you put the time in the correct format? It should be in the 24 hour clock format so if you want it to trigger at 3.00pm then it should be 15:00:00, not 03:00:00. Could that be your problem?

Thanks for your quick reply. The system I am using is in Excel and having purchased it as a package, I don't know how it is constructed. My only input on a daily basis is listing all relevant race times and I use the 24 hour clock. Maybe I should contact the vendor and see if the same problem has occurred with other purchasers.

Yes, you should contact the vendor. If the vendor decides the problem is caused by Betting Assistant then they should contact us. We cannot provide direct support to their customers.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
