LAY-SP Help

Postby dgs2001 » Tue May 26, 2009 8:06 am

Hi All

Can somebody please confirm when a market goes in play and an unmatched LAY-SP bet is existing is the £10 threshold for cancelling taken from the original liability or the liability at SP?

ie LAY-SP £5.00 at 2.36 Liability £6.80

stays unmatched as the price is trading at 3.6
Assuming the market now goes in play and SP becomes 3.6
Liability £5.00 at 3.6 would be £13.00

Does this bet stand or get cancelled ?

It's the liability at SP. If the liability at SP is £10 or more it will be taken.

Not sure if I've read the replies right but to clarify things your bet would not go into the BSP pot as the original liability is under £10

LAY-SP £5.00 at 2.36 Liability £6.80

if the sp is returned at 3.6 your liability would still be £6.80

Sincere apologies for misinforming you. The initial liability is what matters, the stake will be adjusted to create the same liability when SP is taken, but the liability has to be at least £10. I should have known better as I have tested this feature

Thanks to you both for the clarification.

Captain S. this is how I thought it would be but wanted to check before 'going live and automated'

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
