BA for betdaq - size of the buttons

Postby MarcusC » Thu Jul 21, 2011 9:35 am

Im starting to trade with BA for betdaq and I am very impressed with it. Mainly I trade tennis inplay and need to place and cancel bets quickly. Im struggling with the small size of the buttons for changing the price and cancelling one individual bet.
Is there a way to increase those buttons? Alternatively, is there a way to increase the size of the complete interface (some kind of zoom)?

Hope you understood my problem :D

best regards!
Marcus.

I'm afraid there aren't any options for this.

You could try using "My Bets" to manage your bets. I don't know whether you will find it any better. On the right hand side of the prices grid you will see "My Bets" displayed vertically. Click "(Options)" underneath and tick "Display My Bets when placing new bets". It will then allow bet entry similar to the Betfair website when placing, amending and cancelling bets.

I would love to customize the size of the buttons for changing the prize and the font size.
There is no way to do that under "preferences", right?
I am playing around with the windows font size, but the result isnt satisfying.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried adjusting your monitors resolution? A lower resolution will increase the size of everything and easy to switch back later for browsing etc

Thank you for the suggestion. I like it. I am using lower resolution to get the buttons bigger, although the whole screen looks a little blurred.

Windows has a few options to increase sizes depends what version you have. On win 8.1 you can change the display to make items and fonts bigger , maybe try that and minimize things like the betting options and markets windows to retain the maximum screen space for the actuall market. Here's a link for win 8.1 google will show similar if you use a different version of windows

Thanks Captain. After updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I have my desired result. Now I dont need to change the resolution, but can increase the size of objects without messing up the Betting Assistent. :D

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
