Computer spec

Postby Ferru123 » Sat Oct 14, 2017 2:40 pm

I find that my computer runs slowly and the fan gets really loud when I'm trading using streaming mode.

I've attached my computer specs.

Can anyone suggest a faster computer that costs under £200 second hand?

Thanks

Jeff

£200 isn't much, maybe look second hand or even just increase your PC's memory as 2GB is probably just enough to run the operating system.

Things like increasing memory and replacing your hard drive with a SSD will usually give you a big boost in performance and you can always transfer them to a new system if you eventually change. I switched all my laptops to SSD's and it really does seem to makke a noticeable difference.

Thanks.

I'm considering renting out space on a Virtual Private Server as an alternative to getting a new computer.

Does anyone have any experience on using Gruss on a VPS, and are there any VPS services you'd recommend?

Thanks

Jeff

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
