Betdaq - 2 step verification ?

Postby StuT » Fri Dec 01, 2017 4:12 pm

Hi all,

I am thinking of downloading Betdaq Betting assistant and try out some strategies.

Does anyone use Betdaq, if so does it support 2 step verification on logging in?
I can't find any info on it on their site.
I'm only interested in it if it does.

Thanks in advance.

I’m wondering the same.
It’s great the Betdaq version has all the options the Betfair BA has, but although I’ve added 2 step, it only works with the actual Betdaq website, the “free” Betdaq version still only requires username and password.
I’m grateful for the free Betdaq, but that’s quite a bad flaw if it disregards 2 step.
Wonder if Gary can spare the time to add it, that is unless there is an API reason it can’t be done ?

Sorry I would implement it if it was possible. The API does not support it. There is no actual API login call. All requests that access your account specifically (eg. to place bets) include the userid and password in every request. This is not compatible with two step authentication.

Cheers Garry, that’s what I suspected,

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
