Version 1.0.0.32 Beta released

Postby GaryRussell » Mon Jul 09, 2007 1:40 pm

Bets now captured in one request instead of two, profit and loss calculated by program instead of requested from Betfair which saves 2 requests in total, now only 2 requests on each refresh: prices and bets.

Market details removed from betting options, now available in a popup by clicking on the blue 'i' in the market tab.

Current exposure warning is now displayed when closing program.

Count down timer added which is always visible and flashes when 30 seconds left until the off.

Tick offset bets and stop loss bets can now be updated by dragging the blue and red indicators on the ladder interface.

If there are no odds on offer then the odds input popup will display with zero odds ready to be overtyped.

Number of winners (ie. how many places will be paid) is now exported to Excel in cell E3 (assuming top left cell is A1)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
