1. Added inPlayDelay property to Price object in COM interface.

2. Added turnInPlay property to BfEvent object. “Y” = market will turn in play, “N” = market will not turn in play, “” = unknown (usually because the underlying API call could not retrieve all the markets, try getEvents again in this case).

3. “(PA)” markets will now be excluded when adding GB horse racing to quick pick list.

4. Fixed bug where COM events (eg. pricesUpdated) not being sent to client application when client application closed and restarted while Betting Assistant remained open. If Betting Assistant was closed and restarted there was no issue.

5. “Calculate excess data requests allowed” now includes a breakdown of the commission paid and implied commission in the total.

6. Added option to quick pick preferences to exclude greyhound racing place markets.

7. Disabled mouse wheel on sort order drop down list above grid interface.

8. When a bet is matched on a tab that is not currently selected the tab colour will change to orange until it is selected. When multiple markets are displayed on the same tab and the market is not currently selected then the market header row will change to orange until selected. This option can be enabled in general preferences.

9. Added matched bet sound alert option to sound preferences.

10. Silks will only be cached for one day instead of indefinitely.

11. Fixed bug where only first tab uses commission in calculations when viewing the same market on multiple tabs.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
