Multiple Instances of Betting Assistant

Postby MarkRussell » Fri Aug 15, 2008 10:59 am

The next release of Betting Assistant will include a profile option on the log in dialog.

This is to support running multiple instances of Betting Assistant on the same PC at the same time.
If you open a second instance of Betting Assistant and there isn't a spare profile you will be prompted to create one otherwise you select a profile from the dropdown list.
New profiles will adopt all the settings from the default profile.

So you will have the ability to set up multiple profiles which will store their own saved preferences.

The profile being used will be displayed in title bar and to add a new profile you select Profiles from the Options dropdown menu.

For most users who only run a single of instance of Betting Assistant you would simply log in using the default profile but you can still create multiple profiles if you want to have different saved preferences for example if you have multiple Betfair accounts and want different preferences.

If you want to try the new profile option before it is officially released then uninstall your current version using the control panel and re-install from:-

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
