Australian Markets Unavailable 28-Sep-2010

Postby MarkRussell » Tue Sep 28, 2010 12:00 pm

Betfair Customer Services have made the following statement:-

The Australian Exchange is currently unavailable, due to technical problems.

We apologise for this disruption to our service and confirm that our engineering team is working to rectify the problems as quickly as possible.

This is currently impacting access to Aus Markets, and the Australian wallet. Until the Australian exchange is back, the total available and AUS total will be stuck as “loading”.

You can still use Betting Assistant by excluding the Australian markets which can be done in Preferences.
Please see the following video to see how:-

Regards,
Mark

I excluded AUS markets, but loading other markets is still not possible. Betfair works. How come?

It seems after further investigation that the format of the data received from Betfair was in an unexpected format. This must be a result of today's maintenance. I have released version 1.1.0.65y to fix this problem. The program should auto update next time you open it.

That's the Beta version. I will be releasing an update for this next. Please bear with me. I would normally have fixed this quicker, but I've been trying to take paternity leave. Betfair picked a fine time to drop me in it

Yes. You can download it from the following address if it hasn't auto updated. You will first need to uninstall the previous version using the Windows control panel.

Gary, I am using version 1.1.0.66x17 (which currently is not loading any market), so which is the latest, 66w2 or 66x17? Thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
