Stuck at Loading Markets

Postby MarkRussell » Sun Aug 20, 2017 9:21 am

Hi,

Around 6pm on 19-Aug-2017 Betfair added a new soccer market that has unexpected characters in the API data feed that our software was not able to handle.
The result of this caused the software to get stuck trying to load the market data.
We have released a new version that can handle this problem.
This new version was previously being Beta tested by some users as it contains new features.
You can read about the new features in the following post:-
http://www.gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=9763
The software should auto update to this new version but if it doesn't then uninstall via Windows Control Panel and then install via the following link:-

Regards,
Mark & Gary

Uninstalled. Downloaded and installed. After launching comes up with Security Alert, pic attached. If I click Yes I get "Navigation to webpage canceled".
IfI instal certificate get same warning message "Navigation to webpage canceled".

Am running XP Pro SP3 on VMWare so it might be security software on the Mac. But ran fine up to update and do not need enhancements.

Could always uninstall and re-install previous version but before doing anything and ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

Michael

Can you post an image of what you see when you click view certificate?

This message appears after launching Betting Assistant after installation?

The demo version (j) does not support in-play betting?????
Previous version deleted, the new demo installed, everithing looks fine, i traded and boom....
When the race went in-play, everithing stopped to work. Tested on two market. I lost money...

It does, but I think there is an issue with streaming affecting some international users.

Go to general preferences, untick stream prices and stream orders, close and restart the application.

Just trying again to attach pics. Security Alert comes first.

If I click Yes takes me to Betfair Login page.
If I click View certificate and then successfully install it then takes me back to the Betfair Login page.

Cheers

Michael

In Preferences under General settings you can tick "Roll up stakes" and set it to zero as long as you are not using "Stream prices"

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
