What are custom columns?

Could someone please explain what are custom columns and why or how they are used?

Thanks,

Check out the help file

Click on Market Grid then Custom Columns

Basically they give you the option to have a button that either backs or lays at a price you set, you can have an offset with or without greening.

Obviously you can have multiple buttons (24 in total) so you can have them set to whatever you want, the benefit is because you can have the buttons set independently you don't have to keep changing the stake or settings for every selection.

A quick example might be if the odds are coming in and you want to back at 2 and green up at 1.7 you can have a button set for that while at the same time having a button set with a different stake to lay something going out at 2 and greening (or not) at 3.

Hope this helps in some way.

Thanks for that Orange.

Do the bets automatically trigger when the set odds are reached for a selection?

What I mean is that if a horse is trading at 4 and, as in your example, the odds shorten to 2 will a back bet be fired and then a lay bet at 1.7 to green up?

Thanks,

Wesley

No it is just a way of having a shortcut button if you like, you would still have to click on it for it to fire a bet but if you had an offset attached the offset would fire automatically if the initial bet was matched.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
