Refresh rate

Postby danjuma » Sun Nov 01, 2009 6:49 pm

Gary,

Not sure whether this is a bug or design fault, but just noticed that I can't manually input a refresh rate figure in the refresh rate box under betting options, and when I tried to us the spin button, it gets to a stage where the button just stops to respond.

I was trying to input a refresh rate of 300 (seconds) and was unable to do this manually (type it in directly). I now tried the long and tedious way of using the spin button, I got to about 243 and I accidentally stopped (released my finger from the left mouse click button). When I tried to continue, the spin stopped responding. If it's designed this way, then it would be a long, tedious and undesirable way when one needs to input a refresh rate of say 1000 and above.

Cheers
Dan

You can overkey the refresh rate but it seem to only recognise single digits and adds the decimal place (.0) So if you highlight all the box and key in 3, you can then click between the 3 and the .0, and add the extra 00.

I'm sure it's not supposed to work like this though !!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
