There's a new sheet I need. Please PM me and I'll send you confidential requirements if, and ONLY IF, you have a couple of satisfactorily completed projects I can verify here or elsewhere.

And if you're around Ron I'd love to work with you again and I tried to contact you but to no avail as yet. Please PM me if you're still around.

Posted also in my previous request successfully completed below before I noticed this dedicated section. Sorry, I haven't been around much lately.

Hope you have a little more luck than me WhyLose. This guy contacted me on the 19th Sept, I described what I needed (which in my view isnt that complicated) and after numerous PMs and promises, still nothing has happened. Either he's taking on too much or is simply very slow. Whatever the case I'm now going elsewhere as I think he's a waste of time.

Just a short note to say that in my current experience this developer's progress is very satisfactory.

What he appears to have done is to write my requirements into his own GBot app which I would have to subscribe to. I simply wanted a piece of code to add into my own Excel spreadsheet which I was obviously happy to pay for. Instead he's taken my idea and incorporated into his own app. Well, thanks for that.
I've PMd Gary as I don't think this a very ethical approach, particularly as he's using the forum to promote his own software (irrespective of how good it may be). I suspect, like me, most people who are stuck with some Excel code simply want it written for their own spreadsheet, rather than for another application to which they have to subscribe.

i really dont know what to say, i dont want get involved in a who was right thread, i'd rather spend my time programming. i've seen miss-understandings and non-resolution arguments of any old matters go on for months over nothing, i dont want this. i was only trying to help you doris, i appologies if adding the conditions you requested (which doesnt consist of the critera or algorithms (the actualy input)) to grussbot was not what you were asking. i saw this as the easiest method to getting your system automated.

i wont be replying further.

Hi John,

Finding this post sidetracked me for at least 4 hours this morning looking at your various sites/links all very interesting and even entertaining. Your Radio site reminded me a little of Grussmeister in his early days. :)

It was good to hear you and Ronnie chatting away but Ronnie seems to have disappeared as there does not appear to be a website any more. :(

Unless I missed it somewhere on juicepower, I was unable to find out your progress with RonBot since November 2007 - can you enlighten me. :?

Have made money today with BOB only pennies but still 200 % on stake - I used to do almost the same thing with an excel sheet but gave up because of the huge discrepancies in race times.

Will be signing up to your blog now that your back.

Nice one.

Bon Chance

Ray

Ps I used to live in Carpentras for 6 months at a time over a 3 year period - never did get fluent in the langue though. :!:

Hi Ray, sorry I distracted you but I hope it was worth it.

Everyone was on the old blog, including Ronnie, but it was moved because Lastminuteliving stopped the free option. The best live shows were transferred. Ronbot turned in a healthy profit but as you'll notice from my home at Juicestorm.com I now use something similar but with a few more settings.

I still use Bob most weeks manually when I don't have time for trading "properly". We'll be adding a members section to the blog soon and it will carry a few benefits as well. You'd be very welcome. It'll be the early part of November 2008 if my "Blog Management Team" (one top notch guy  )can get it done. I'm hopeful.

And what a great product Betting Assistant has become. I've just renewed for another year. I'm hoping to have either Gary or Mark on one of the shows before the end of the year and I'll be writing to them soon.

Sir, have a great week and good luck to you, as always.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
